Speaking of missionaries, here is my latest find. I'm actually embarrassed to post this. But I thought it was too funny not to share. And the stupid tagline is... wait for it... "bare your testimony."

After a few attempts, I managed to write down the story from the other night. It was such a weird experience, therefore it took me quite a while.

So the Mormon missionaries stopped by unexpectedly at 8 pm on Saturday. I was home with 3 friends playing Settlers of Catan. I know it's kind of lame to be playing board games on a Saturday night. But we were having fun, so lay off.

Well they shared a brief message about the importance of going to church and then they left. We finished our game and went over to the couch where we noticed a plate-sized circle of wetness where one of the missionaries had been sitting. We thought it must've been mildewy rain water and continued watching movies (Teen Witch) and playing more games (Clue and I Can't Do a Thing With My Hair.)

However, soon we noticed the stench coming from the couch (after Danny accidentally stuck his face in it) and that kicked off the search to figure out what the mystery liquid was.

We suspected that the missionary must have peed his pants. But that would have been too fishy. We would have noticed something: a sound, an immediate scent, or an expression. We suspected it could have been feces. But the smell wasn't THAT strong. And if it were that watery, it would have ran down his legs and forced us to notice. We suspected en existing problem with the couch that was made extra-stinky because of the water. But Danny tested other areas of the couch and there was no odor. Our suspicions continued to range from old food in his pocket, to butt sweat. But nothing made sense until I suggested that it might have been a colostomy bag of sorts. Perhaps he had cancer, kidney failure, or a severe urinary tract infection. We didn't know, but we figured it could have leaked without him knowing. This also explained why his behavior never changed. Nevertheless, we felt great pride in knowing our Clue skills were put to the test. It was a team effort and the mystery was solved: it was the Mormon missionary, with the colostomy bag, on the living room couch.

I'm afraid of the bus.

Last night was somewhat traumatic. After Feist, 11:30 PM, Danny, Kate, and I boarded the bus home. Kate found a seat mid-bus while Danny stood next to her. I sat next to a homeless man toward the front of the bus, six rows or so from Danny and Kate. Mid-trip, a cute asian girl boarded the bus and I stood up to offer my seat to her. She explained that she was departing in a few stops and that she didn't want it. I sat back down. The intoxicated homeless man then proceeded to praise my efforts while breathing the alcoholic aroma in my face. His voice carried throughout the double-wide bus and I began to feel a little embarrassed. Danny and Kate later recalled hearing every word. Another supposed schizophrenic homeless man overheard his speech and for one reason or another took offense. He proceeded to yell, "Shut the F*** up!! SHUT THE F*** UP!!" The bus stopped and the two homeless men began throwing punches as bystanders shuffled to avoid any unwanted contact with these guys. Not understanding their need to fight, I tried to calm them down while Danny yelled for me to move to the back of the bus and get out of their way. Eventually a young man, "The Bus Marshall" as Danny later tagged him, forced the two men off of the bus and I returned to my seat where Danny and Kate eventually came to my attention. We laughed and talked it through, but the whole experience still gives me the willies.

Today at work everyone proceeded to inform me their individual stories of people peeing on the bus seat next to them or having sex in the back of the bus. I'm sure there are people who experience much worse. Anyway, I'd better get back to work. But I had to get that out there.

So imagine if the entire state of Utah came to Salt Lake City and partied in the streets for one night. That's pretty much what Notte Bianca was. It was sooo fun, but sooo crowded all over Rome. There were people everywhere ALL night. We went to a Roma soccer game which was one of the funnest things I've ever done. It was CRAZY. The Italians get sooo into it. I LOVE IT!

So we went to these beautiful gardens in Villa D'Este. They were amazing. We also got to see some Italian monastaries and they were really interesting and beautiful.

So we were stuck in a really, über-boring tour in a church, with a very hairy tour guide (nostrils). We decided to pray for help to either find a secret passage way out of the church or a sedative.

So we all got to dress up like cheap doctors and go to a famous Parmasean cheese factory. No, it wasn't Kraft. It was the real deal, man. We got to see how stinky, rotten stuff (they spilled it all over us) becomes Parmasean cheese and then we got to eat it. Mmmmm. We also got to go to the prosciutto factory which was a tad gruesome. It was where they cure the thousands of pigs' legs that come in to become salty ham. It's good to eat and what not, but it takes a ton of time and was kind of frightening.

Probably the most frightening part of our trip was this musuem we went to where this guy basically saved everything he ever owned and then put it on display on his property. I don't know how many chisels he thought he needed, but dude had a million of 'em. He sure did know how to make it all look fancy, though.

Then it was time to eat and we were all a little uncertain if we wanted to eat what we just saw. But it's really good.

So Pisa was pretty cool. Our appointment to climb the tower was at sunset so the view was really beautiful. Earlier in the day, we went to the marble quarry. It was interesting for the first 20 minutes but the 4 subsequent hours were a little dull. I was marbled OUT!

I'm seriously the only boy here. I'm not complaining but when the girl drama begins, I'm outie.

I did get a chance to get out of Heathrow to go see London and this girl and I had breakfast. She was really nice and she taught me lots of new British slang. She was top (cool). And she told me that Robbie Williams was a knob-head (don't ask). She also said "brilliant" a lot and said that I was a fittie (hottie). Aw.

It sucks traveling alone because you have to take pictures of yourself.
